Recently FCS has emphasized its intention to establish changes in the Code of Administrative Offences aimed at reducing the size of penalties for failure to comply with timing of payment of customs duties. Representative of TRANSLOGIX has expressed his opinion on the matter “At such economically hard times it is definitely a right move,” explains the respondent, “As far as we know, there are draft in work for other articles of the Code of Administrative Offences, for example, regarding the abolition of sanctions such as withdrawal of goods and reduction of penalties.”
Note that the violation of the terms of payment of customs duties and taxes is subject to a penalty of 500 to 2500 rubles. According to most of FEA participants, the amounts are quite large.
We recall that the new draft of the document was commissioned by the First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
