The other day the Baltic Customs held a working meeting dedicated to the issues of customs clearance of fish products. The meeting was attended by representatives of fish market manufacturing organizations and enterprises, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Revenue Service of the Northwestern Customs Administration, and representatives of the Baltic Customs.
The present considered burning issues concerning customs clearance of fish and crustaceans and outlined the prospects of development of relations between customs authorities and fish product importers. Special attention was also paid to control over the participants’ observance of temporary prohibition on imports of a range of goods into Russia, in force in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 6th August 2014.
It should be noted that the Baltic Customs’ service area covers a total amount of fish cleared exceeding 140,000 tons.
