On June 1, 2016 Saint Petersburg hosted the General Meeting of Self-Regulatory Organization Association “National union of customs agents”. Representatives of the city council, government bodies, as well as public organizations were invited to take part in the event. General Director of TRANSLOGIX company A. V. Yamalov attended the meeting.
All the invited participants had an opportunity to share their practical recommendations on the development of customs agents’ self-regulation. Thus, in particular, the Chairman of GERMES group Pavel Korchazhkin presented a review on how the idea of self-regulation for customs agents’ work was first initiated, including an evaluation of the implementation stages and current results.
The speech of Arthur Yamalov, council member of SRO “NOTP”, board member of GERMES Group, General Director of TRANSLOGIX company, concerned optimization of business processes. Main highlights of the speech: maintaining a register by customs agents with the support of Self-regulatory organization, outsourcing of legal department function to the profile structure of self-regulatory organization, protection of SRO members’ interests, as well as PR and promotion of the organization supported by the image of SROs.
It is important to note that today various industries of the Russian economy have gained significant experience of SRO functioning. More than a thousand SROs currently operate in various business sectors in the country.
