During 2016 the largest Russian agro-holdings not only began to increase the volume of production and exports, but also significantly expanded market outlets. During the last seven months of the present year, deliveries of meat and meat products abroad increased to 87%.
Leaders in procurement are the countries of East Asia and the CIS. Among the new buyers are Germany, the Netherlands, Norway. Deliveries are planned to the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Saudi Arabia.
It should be noted that agreements regarding the import of poultry meat were reached with the European Union last year, however, the amount of tariff quotas is too small, and only seven companies are accredited to export.
