On October 27, 2016 a meeting with representatives of the Federal Customs Service under the leadership of Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg S.N. Movchan was held at the Center for import substitution and localization.


The participants discussed the improvement of customs administration and solutions to create a favorable climate, make easier doing foreign trade, and reduce administrative barriers. The event was attended by Chairman of the Committee on Customs Administration of Foreign Economic Activity of the St. Petersburg regional branch of the All-Russian public organization “Business Russia”, Director General of TRANSLOGIX Group A.V. Yamalov.


On the agenda were issues such as the procedure for making decisions on reorganization (liquidation) of customs stations, proposals of the working group “Improvement of customs administration, export promotion” of the Staff for improving business in St. Petersburg, order of placement of customs stations at a specific terminal, creation of the Baltic customs station (the Center of electronic declaration) on the basis of the Baltic customs, measures to improve the position of Russia in DOING BUSINESS rating by the “international trade” parameter.


At the end of the meeting, the participants developed draft decisions which will be sent for study to the St. Petersburg Government.
