On May 22 the representative of the World bank Mari-Lily Delion visited the Big port of Petersburg with working visit. Delegates from Head department of the customs clearance and customs control organizationof FCS and NWCA, Baltic Customs and business communities also participated in the meeting. A representative of the TRANSLOGIX company visited the event.
Participants of a meeting could discuss such important questions, as: terms of commission of the customs operations, connected with loading and goods unloading, vessel arrival, the placement of containers on temporary storage.
We remind that annually experts of the World bank carry out an assessment of business activity in 189 countries. Assessment is carried out in 10 parameters. To that carry requirements for export and import of goods on delivery sea transport. Also experts consider time expenses, number of necessary documents for registration, financial costs of procedures. According to all available data from monitoring, today the term of stay of the container in the port of St. Petersburg makes slightly more than 4 days. From them eleven hours are spent for commission of customs operations.
