Russia ended the ban on imports of some vegetables from Turkey

On March 10, 2017 the Government of the Russian Federation ended bans on imports of onion, cauliflower, broccoli, as well as cloves from Turkey. It is formally reported on the Cabinet of Ministers website thereof.

“In particular, the cloves, fresh or chilled multiplier onions and shallot, fresh or chilled cauliflower and broccoli sprout, and a number of other goods are excluded”, descriptive report to the document says.

Note that in October 2016 Russia permitted imports of some Turkish fruits again. Embargo on fresh and desiccated oranges, fresh and desiccated tangerines, peaches and nectarines, apricots and plums was taken off.

It will be recalled that the country imposed a ban on imports of some agricultural products and foodstuffs from Turkey since January 01, 2016.
