As reported by the Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service, after a one-year break, Russia will resume export of poultry and eggs to the EU.
The statement of the service says: “Subject to the European Commission No.789/2008, Russian companies with a registered right to export poultry products to the EU are permitted to export poultry, eggs (only B class) and egg products”.
In addition, export of by-products of livestock breeding containing poultry-originated raw materials is permitted. The mandatory condition is complete conformance of such raw materials to the requirements of animals’ health.
We remind you that export of poultry and eggs from Russia was banned in September 2014 due to outbreaks of bird influenza. At the same time, the country itself limited its shipments.
