The external turnover of Russia in January-March 2019 remained at the level of the same period as in the last year (according to customs statistics).
The basis of exports were fuel and energy products (66.4 %), metals (9.5 %) and chemical products (5.7 %).
Imports for the first quarter of 2019 decreased by 2.4 % compared to the same period of 2018.
The basis of imports were machinery and equipment (45.1 %), chemical products (19.1 %), and also foodstuffs and raw materials for their production (13.5 %).
The leading place in the insurance structure of foreign trade is occupied by:
European Union: 43.5 %
APEC countries: 31.2 %
CIS countries: 11.4 %
EAEU countries: 7.9 %
The main trading partners of Russia in January-March 2019 among the far abroad countries were: China, Germany and the Netherlands.
