Russia exported in April by 30 % less grain than in March.
Despite the reduction, the April pace was even higher than expected (due to more active barley exportation).
Thus, for 10 months of the season-2018/19, grain exports amounted to 39.2 million tons, including 32.6 million tons of wheat.
During the season from July to March, Egypt remained the leader in purchasing Russian grain, followed by Turkey. As the Turkish ambassador to Russia explained earlier, the reduction in purchases of wheat in Russia was associated with a good own grain harvest. In the third place among importing countries is Iran.
