Lumber with thickness greater than 6mm is classified in the commodity item 4407 of the Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activities of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Oak, beech, maple, cherry, ash – depending on the type of wood and the degree of its processing (planed/rough-edged, polished/unpolished, presence/absence of end joints) – fees range from zero to 10%, but not less than 12 EUR per 1 cubic meter with various intermediate values.
The rest of wood that was not mentioned above (e.g. birch, aspen, walnut, poplar, and tropical species not listed in Note 2 to subitems of the group 44 of the Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activities of the Eurasian Economic Union) – free of duty.
